Welcome to SmarterBox! These terms and conditions outline what’s included in your membership, how we work, and what you can expect from us. By signing up, you agree to everything below — it helps us keep things clear and fair.


🛠 What You Get with Your Membership

Your SmarterBox plan gives you access to remote tech support from our UK-based experts — helping you stay safe, connected, and stress-free with your devices.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Unlimited support by phone or remote access

  • Help with common issues like setting up Wi-Fi, installing apps, or sorting email problems

  • Guidance on keeping your devices secure

  • Access to helpful tips, guides, and tutorials

  • 25% discount on any repairs or call-out services you choose to book with us

  • Friendly help, whenever you need it

⚠️ Repairs are not included in your monthly plan — but as a member, you’ll get them at a discounted rate if you need them.


🖥 What We Can Help With (Remotely)

We’re here to help with everyday tech headaches, including:

  • Setting up or fixing your home Wi-Fi

  • Installing and updating software

  • Virus checks and security help

  • Speeding up your slow computer

  • Help with emails, browsers, and more

  • Connecting your printer, webcam, or tablet

  • Microsoft Windows and Office support

All support is delivered remotely (by phone or secure screen-share), so you’ll need an internet connection for us to help.


🔧 What About Repairs?

We also offer optional repair services for things like:

  • Laptop screen replacements

  • Battery swaps

  • Hardware fixes or upgrades

These services are not covered by your membership, but as a member you’ll save 25% on all repair costs. We'll always give you a quote before any work is done.


📅 Membership Duration

Depending on your plan:

  • Monthly: Renews each month

  • Annual: Covers 12 full months from your signup date

You’ll see your exact plan info in your welcome email or dashboard.


📞 Fair Use Policy

We’re here to help — but to keep things fair for all members, we do monitor usage. If someone’s using the service far more than normal, we may get in touch to review or limit access. We also can’t support devices that don’t belong to you.


🔐 Your Data & Devices

We’ll always treat your devices and information with care. That said, it’s your responsibility to back up your files before we start work. SmarterBox cannot guarantee the recovery of lost or corrupted data.


🌍 Things Outside Our Control

Sometimes things happen that are out of anyone’s hands — like power outages, internet issues, or extreme weather. We’ll always do our best, but we’re not liable for service delays caused by these events.


💸 Cancelling Your Membership

You can cancel at any time. Here’s how refunds work:

  • Within 30 days: Full refund (unless you’ve already used the service — then we’ll deduct the cost of support already provided).

  • After 30 days:

    • Monthly plans: No future payments will be taken. No refund for the current month.

    • Annual plans: We’ll refund the unused portion, minus a £15 admin fee.

⚖️ Legal Stuff

  • This agreement is covered by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Any disputes will be handled in the English courts.

  • Everything will be communicated in plain English.
